Dates: 4/1-4/2
Activities: Met with Tammy and Hannah to discuss upcoming wedding, assist photographing a wedding
Technical Information: Light meter, 3-4 Canon DSLR Cameras, video light, ceiling flashes
Reflection: As I work with Tammy at weddings, my most important job is to manage her equipment and be the eyes behind the photographer. It is important for me to be able to get everyone is position in a calm fashion, and make sure there is nothing going on in the background of the picture. Tammy is focused on the bride and groom, so she needs my help to focus on everyone else. I look forward to start editing pictures with Tammy as well. Although we have not started this process yet, I know I will be expected to quickly learn the software and be able to do the basic editing, allowing Tammy to send the images to her clients in less time. Along with working aside Tammy, I will also be working with another AOIT intern, Hannah Greene. Hannah and I are friends through AOIT, so it will be simple to work together because we have similar ideas and can help each other through the learning process.
In this next section of my internship, I have helped photograph another wedding in Raleigh. This wedding was MUCH different than the first one in that the brides had two very different personalities. Our first bride was very calm and planned a very classy, traditional, and elegant wedding whereas this bride was much more upbeat and planned a very modern and vibrant wedding. Through these experiences, I am learning how to work with different personalities in clients and how to please them, no matter what their opinions may be.
